St. Mary’s New Website

Hello! I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter.

As many of you know, we’ve been working on the St. Mary’s website for a couple of years now. We’ve appreciated your patience as we’ve had our ups and downs.

But we’re very excited to announce that this new version of the site is a great starting point for big things to come!

We want to thank Jay Rechter for his valuable support and hard work. Jay is one of the busiest people I know, yet he has continued to update the website with the latest sermons, blog posts, choir performances, and he’s taken charge of any and all technological challenges.  I’m happy to say that now that we’ve moved to a new platform, Jay will finally have a break!

I also want to thank our new Social Media committee! Recently the Rev. Elizabeth Rechter, Donna Phillips, Leslie Derrick,  Jorge Cortes and I met and we’re all going be contributing and creating more “buzz” and utilizing the wonderful interactive tools we now have available. We’ll be using Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube. We’ll also be creating some great content on our Blog.

As you may or may not know, I am a full time internet marketing consultant. I’ve been in this industry for about 6 years.  Basically, I help businesses with their websites, and their online marketing efforts. I’ve never worked with a church before, but I’ve applied some winning strategies to the St. Mary’s site which are sure to improve the Church’s presence and interactivity with the online community, and I believe that with your enthusiasm and collaboration, we can show more of the world what an amazing place St. Mary’s truly is.

You’ll definitely want to watch the video below to see how the new site will operate. And we’re open to constructive criticism and suggestions! Please don’t hesitate to email me at: with any suggestions or comments. (Also, feel free to comment at the bottom of the blog post) Thanks!
