Backpacks – Giving Children Hope

Giving Children Hope, through whom we have sent international aid many times, also do wonderful work locally. Their “We’ve Got Your Back” Program provides 1,300 homeless school children and their families a backpack of nutritious food, enough for four people, every weekend of the year. They have been doing this for several years, and currently feed over 5,000 people every weekend!

Giving Children Hope needs more backpacks, and can get them for $4.00 each. They hope to raise $4,000, for 1,000 backpacks during August, and invite partners like St Mary’s to join them in this worthwhile cause.

Age Well Senior Services

Age Well Senior Services is looking for Volunteers in the Community to help serve Lunch for the Laguna Beach Seniors at the Susie Q Senior Center.

Age Well provides a Hot nutritious meal Monday thru Friday from 11:30 am. Until 12:30 pm. We need Volunteers to help set up the kitchen, serve the meals, and easy cleanup from 10:30 am. Until 1:00 pm. We only ask volunteers to commit one or two days a week if Possible. We are a non-profit Organization and lunch is on a donation basis, which is why Volunteers are so important to our success.
